Model Planes & Shipwrecks @ Muzium Negara

Today we took Amir to Muzium Negara for a model building children's workshop conducted by members of the Selangor and The Federal Territory Plastic Modelling Society (SFTPMS).

Amir with his first modelling kit.

Members of SFTPMS, especially Richard, who's seen above explaining how things are done to Amir and his dad, very kindly gave us the benefit of their expertise.

Soon, Amir was confident enough to start trying his hand at cutting out the model pieces.

Daddy & mummy helped too :)

Here's the finished model!

After the workshop, we saw the model display by SFTPMS, which had a Merdeka theme.

Needless to say, my son was drawn to all that military stuff! Boys!

Check out these incredibly detailed models!

We also saw the shipwreck exhibition, which is currently going on at Muzium Negara. check out this cool life-sized model outside the gallery!

There was a 'shipwreck' inside the gallery too.

There were also small ship models.

Here's Amir checking out sunken treasure!

It was a productive (and tiring) morning, so we had lunch at Secret Recipe in Amcorp Mall on the way home. I ordered this adorable platter for Amir, but he didn't eat much as he's the ever picky eater!
